We are a major supplier of innovative, high-quality parts to the Aerospace, Photonics, Telecommunications, and Commercial industries. TRUMPF Photonics recently acquired the company and has significant growth goals. 

About the Role

The Head of Sales and Marketing leads Stellar’s sales, business development, and marketing efforts. This includes identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic marketing plans, identifying specific customers and leads, negotiating terms, and closing sales. Stellar’s success is based on long-lasting customer relationships. The Head of Sales and Marketing works with the Sales and Business Development Managers, sales engineering staff, as well as engineering, quality, and production personnel. He/she will work closely with the Managing Director and senior staff to align technical capabilities and roadmaps with market demand.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.

•    Sell the company’s offerings with a team of sales and business development professionals

•    Lead all stages of Sales and Marketing lifecycle from Market Research, Lead Generation, Quoting, Customer Service, and After-Sales Activities for a built-to-print, high-mix to medium-volume business

•    Lead the development of a Sales and Marketing roadmap

•    Develop sales and marketing plans for specific market segments: From Defense and Aerospace to large OEMs

•    Develop costing models and pricing guidelines for projects of varying complexity

•    Align sales channels with requirements for market segments: Direct sales and manufacturer’s representatives 

•    Plan and execute a marketing campaign to raise awareness of the company’s offerings

•    Market analysis and trend awareness: Stay updated on ceramic substrate and cold plate technologies, industry standards, and market trends to identify new business opportunities. 

•    Attend industry events and conferences, participate in trade shows and conferences to promote product offerings and network with potential clients.

About You

•    Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline and/or business administration

•    Proven track record of successful sales experience in the electronics industry, including lead generation, design process, and finalizing sales orders. 

•    Strong understanding of ceramic substrate and/or PCB technology and manufacturing processes 

•    Thorough knowledge of one of the following markets: Ceramic substrates for power or RF applications or liquid cooling for high-power semiconductors

•    Solid track record with selling passive electronic components or packaging solutions into the Aerospace & Defense market

•    Experience running marketing programs in highly technical B2B environments

•    A minimum of five years of prior experience with highly technical sales in a built-to-print environment

•    Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to develop and initiate strategies for revenue and client count growth 

•    Strong understanding of product costing in the semiconductor, PCB, or packaging industries to provide accurate sales quotations

•    For informational purposes only, the range for annual base salary for this role is $126,000 to $205,000 US Dollar (USD), Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company’s Bonus Plan based on the Company’s performance in the prior fiscal year. 

•    Employees will accrue up to 128 hours of paid time off every year. 

•    Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s 401(k) plan.
