Chief Executive Officer – Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA)

The Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies (AMWA), the association representing the nation's largest publicly owned drinking water systems, seeks an accomplished Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization and implement its strategic vision. Reporting to the Board of Directors through the Board President, the CEO is responsible for overall leadership of the association, including strategy, operations, finance, membership, advocacy, staff leadership, and board relations. The successful candidate will have demonstrated executive leadership experience in an association or comparable nonprofit organization, with strong skills in strategic planning, financial management, governance, membership growth and engagement, and organizational leadership. A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree and CAE credential are preferred. Approximately 30% travel is required. AMWA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
