Job description

Rate of Pay:  $16.00, depending of experience

This position is for Housekeeping Room attendant at the Delta by Marriott Utica Downtown.  We're located at 200 Genesee Street, just two blocks from the Centro bus hub.

Associates can earn bonus incentives in addition to regular pay for room cleaning.  Full service hotel with restaurant onsite, discount food pricing for employees.

Marriott employee travel discount to stay at other Marriott properties throughout the world.

This position is first shift, 8:30am - 5:00pm or until room assignment is completed.

Responsibilities

  • Change bed linen daily.
  • Vacuum carpeting.
  • Dust all furniture (picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, dressers).
  • Remove fingerprints and smudges (ex. mirrors, shiny surfaces, windows, etc).
  • Thoroughly clean the bathroom area - wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet, etc.
  • Take responsibility for the pass key and make sure it is turned in daily.
  • Turn in immediately all "lost and found" items to Executive Housekeeper.
  • Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving the room.
  • Assist housekeepers in any additional cleaning chores she may assign.

  • Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
  • Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly way.
