Job description


Summary of Performance Expectations:
The Scheduling Registrar will assist in scheduling patient encounters for outpatient services and diagnostic procedures performed at Catawba Valley Health System locations.
Education and Credentials:
Required:
Associate degree in Business Administration or related area. May consider candidate nearing completion of Associate degree with two years experience in hospital scheduling or may consider candidate with demonstrated excellence and proficiency in hospital scheduling for a minimum of five years.
Preferred:
Work Experience:
Required:
One year of administrative experience in a healthcare setting. Highly developed office skills required. Candidate must be familiar with medical terminology and have a general understanding of outpatient clinical procedures and guidelines. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the position within three months of employment date.
Preferred:
One year of scheduling experience. Background of working with Radiology or other scheduled procedures. Knowledge of centralized scheduling, registration, and preadmissions concepts helpful. Prior Meditech experience.
