Lead Central Processing Technician Position Summary
The Central Sterile Processing Lead Technician is responsible for the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of supplies and equipment used for patient care throughout the Medical Center along with other duties as required. The Lead Technician has achieved certification as a Central Sterile Technician and demonstrated superior technical skills and knowledge of all Central Processing functions. The Lead Tech is capable of handling advanced assignments and acts as a preceptor for new employees. Due to the nature of this position, the individual must strictly adhere to Infection Control and Universal Precaution policies, procedures and guidelines.
