Job description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of network infrastructure projects supporting Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services. This role leads the planning, execution, and completion of new builds, migrations, and network upgrades across diverse property types including high-rise residential, single-family communities, universities, hospitality, and commercial environments.

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Own full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, design validation, execution, certification, and closeout
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects including new network deployments, migrations (off-net to on-net), and capacity upgrades
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and critical path tracking (Gantt charts, milestones)
  • Define and control project scope, ensuring alignment with business and engineering requirements
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and constraints; implement mitigation strategies
  • Coordinate deployment of data center-grade network infrastructure (OLT, routers, switches, transport)
  • Partner with Engineering SMEs to validate designs, capacity planning (uplinks, routing, GPON), and hardware requirements
  • Oversee Bill of Materials (BOM) development and ensure hardware readiness aligns with project timelines
  • Support RFP responses with scalable and cost-effective engineering solutions
  • Ensure adherence to network standards, certification requirements, and operational readiness
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across Engineering, Launch, NOC, Sales, Product, and external vendors
  • Lead recurring stakeholder meetings, providing clear updates on status, risks, and decisions needed
  • Facilitate resource allocation and task assignment through ticketing systems (e.g., JIRA, WIRE)
  • Develop, document, and follow standardized workflows for engineering and launch processes
  • Provide clear, concise reporting to executive leadership on project health, timelines, and risks
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, status reports, and audit trails
  • Manage inventory forecasting and procurement to support project timelines
  • Coordinate site surveys and field validation when required
  • Ensure readiness for installations, migrations, and service activation
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in networking within service provider or enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with network deployments (installation, activation, migrations)
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and networking fundamentals
  • PMP Certification preferred; strong familiarity with PMBOK standards and methodologies.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, and Visio.
  • Working knowledge of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical projects involving infrastructure, software, and business intelligence.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a collaborative and proactive work ethics.
