Job Description
• Operate assigned equipment, such as Cincinnati centerless grinder, high volume production lathes, automated quality control system, double disk grinder.
• Completion of preventative maintenance tasks.
• Participate in assigned training programs.
• Measure parts (accuracy, reproducibility, repeatability) using digital micrometers, dial indicators, digital calipers, and metric measurements.
• Some hands on and automated inspection of parts.
• Completion of inspection of parts and documentation.
• Work with close tolerance parts.
• Identify types of defects and likely causes.
Qualifications
• Previous manufacturing experience in a machining environment that includes grinders and lathes or equivalent technical training is required.
• A high school diploma or equivalent with a solid mechanical knowledge is required.
• Experience with Siemens machine controls is preferred.
• A background in metrology and Statistical Process Control is preferred.
