Job Summary:
We are looking for a Grinder that can start working right away. We will train a person to safely use a grinder to remove excess metal from manufactured parts to blueprint specifications and shop order instructions.
Job Requirements:
  • Work safe and maintain an organized, lean work environment.
  • Strong commitment to good attendance and being on time as it is critical to meet production needs.
  • Inspect parts visually and by touch and remove flash and excess material by following forging process and work order instructions.
  • Use various surface-grinding tools to remove the defects from manufactured parts.
    Maintain accurate part and or work piece counts.
  • Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per the job-specific travelers.
  • On-the-job training will be provided for this position.
  • Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.

Skill Requirements:
  • Wear proper Personal Protection Equipment in work area at all time.
  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
  • In compliance with ITAR regulations, must be a US Citizen or US Person (U.S. Person = a natural person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
  • English (reading, writing, and verbal comprehension)
  • Display a good sense of depth perception, which is critical to discriminating defects and finishing parts during the flash removal and deburring process.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required to meet operational deadlines.
  • Ability to frequently manipulate parts weighing up to 30 lbs. and move more than 30 lbs. with the aid of material handling equipment and/or assistance.
  • Ability to apply up to 50lbs hand-to-part force as necessary to stabilize part(s) during cutting or machining process.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
