Job description

QA/Test Technician

We are looking for a Quality Assurance/Test Technician for Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).

Qualifications:

Preferred

  • CEMS experience
  • Gas Analyzer experience
  • Electrical/Electrical wiring experience
  • Solenoid valves, AC & DC relay, PFA tubing, SS tubing helpful. Swagelok experience
  • Quality Assurance Testing experience
  • Multimeter/digital test equipment experience. HART Communication.
  • Ability to read Electrical & Mechanical drawings
  • Computer, PLC (Loop Check), Modbus experience
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Industrial Safety training knowledge

Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup CEMS systems in our shop including wiring and tubing for Gas sample probe connections, gas calibration system, electrical power connections, leak check systems. Verify point-to-point connectivity for all wiring. Test all functions of CEMS system I/O logic, including calibrating analytical instrumentation, verifying accurate readings through the PLC, Data Logger, and DAHS.
  • Document all Q/A testing in the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) book.
  • Review electrical and mechanical as-built drawings. Verify the system matches the drawings and redline any errors or changes.
  • Communicate with the Production and Engineering departments on system design and assembly issues.
  • Maintain communications with the project team throughout the testing phase.
  • Manage multiple projects through the Test phase with dynamic schedules and competing demands.
  • Use handheld test equipment (Multi-Meters, Signal Generators, HART) to perform required testing.
  • Perform repairs as needed.
  • Attend required Safety training as needed.
  • Overtime is often necessary.
  • Possible/minimal travel to job sites.
