About the Role:
American Cemetery Services LLP is looking for a dedicated and respectful Cemetery Groundskeeper to join our team in at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster, OH. This is a meaningful role where your hard work directly contributes to providing a peaceful, well-maintained environment for families and visitors during their most important moments. If you take pride in outdoor work and have a strong attention to detail, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cemetery grounds through regular mowing, trimming, edging, and landscaping
  • Prepare grave sites for burials, including digging, backfilling, and restoration of turf
  • Plant, prune, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation throughout the grounds
  • Operate and perform routine maintenance on groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and tractors
  • Remove debris, leaves, and litter to keep the cemetery clean and presentable year-round
  • Repair and maintain pathways, fencing, markers, and other cemetery infrastructure
  • Respond respectfully and professionally to the needs of visiting families and guests
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or turf maintenance preferred
  • Ability to operate riding mowers, hand tools, and light equipment safely
