What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and develop a regional team of Remote Optimization Specialists (ROS) and functional support staff, providing coaching, performance management, technical guidance, and development opportunities.
  • Partner with plant and regional leadership to drive operational excellence through process optimization, performance improvement initiatives, and consistent application of best practices.
  • Oversee operational support activities across multiple cement plants, ensuring effective collaboration among process, quality, reliability, systems, and operations teams on site.
  • Monitor plant performance using key operational metrics, identifying improvement opportunities and implementing actions to enhance efficiency, reliability, product quality, and cost performance.
  • Support resource planning, budgeting, maintenance outage coordination, technology adoption, automation systems optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the region.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the HROC, plant leadership team, and regional operations teams to ensure effective collaboration and alignment on operational priorities and business objectives.

What Are We Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical, operational, or cross-functional teams in the cement industry or a comparable heavy industrial environment.
  • Expertise in cement manufacturing processes, process optimization, automation systems, operational excellence, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience analyzing performance data, addressing operational challenges, managing competing priorities, and supporting business objectives.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across plant, regional, and corporate teams.

Work Environment
This role operates within a centralized operational support organization serving multiple cement plant locations. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams to support business objectives across a regional portfolio while providing operational and technical leadership. The role requires managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Travel to plant and corporate sites is required for inspections, meetings, and project implementation.
