Job description

Senior Sales Manager

Dayton, OH | Full-Time, On-Site | Automotive Manufacturing

Up to $110,000 base + 20–40% bonus + car allowance + cell phone credit

About the Company

We're partnering with a state-of-the-art Tier 1 automotive supplier known for producing stamped and welded components for major OEMs. Their Dayton facility is built on advanced technology, lean systems, and high standards for quality and efficiency. This is a well-established organization with strong customer relationships and a culture of continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

This is a high-impact leadership role reporting directly to the President. You'll own the full sales function — from strategy and forecasting to quoting, pricing, and customer relationships. If you're a driven sales professional with automotive supplier experience and a track record of leading teams, this is a role worth a conversation.

        What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute annual and long-term sales plans aligned with company strategy
  • Lead sales forecasting, reporting, and budget management
  • Own proposals, quotations, and pricing negotiations across North America
  • Manage pricing changes driven by exchange rates, material costs, and adjustments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key OEM customers (including Honda) and internal stakeholders
  • Lead, coach, and develop the sales team — performance management, training, and coordination
  • Develop profit improvement proposals as part of ongoing kaizen activities
  • Deliver presentations to internal leadership and external customers
  • Troubleshoot product-related issues and act as a key escalation point
  • Travel domestically and internationally on short notice as needed

        What You'll Bring

  • 8+ years of sales experience, ideally within automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supply chain
  • Proven experience managing a sales team and developing strategic plans
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and related business tools
  • Experience with OEM customer management (Honda experience a strong plus)
  • Bilingual English/Japanese is preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel on short notice, including internationally
  • Bachelor's degree required

    Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary up to $110,000 depending on experience

  • Performance bonus: 20–40% of base
  • Car allowance
  • Cell phone credit
