Job Description

Responsibilities: 

  • Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety. Requirements, Continuous Improvement, GMP and standard work procedures.  
  • Maintain clean work space and 5S Standards in work area. 
  • Complete visual inspection of product per production specification for defects.  
  • Report identified visual defects to Supervisor or Process Technician. 
  • Package & label product per customer specification. 
  • Enter daily production and scrap data into Mattec. 
  • Operate Assembly or package equipment as required per product specifications and/or work instructions. 
  • Perform mold changeovers. 
  • Load the validated master cycle parameters into the Injection Molding machine at each startup. 
  • Load programs into and align automated and robotic systems. 
  • Ensure Injection Molding machines are running to standard and ensuring product quality meets specification at each startup. 
  • Start and stop Injection Molding equipment after initial start-up. 
  • Answer Injection Molding equipment alarms. 
  • Troubleshoot Injection Molding and automated assembly processes. 
  • Clean injection molds as required per work instructions. 
  • Perform color changes and material lots as required, and complete traceability documentation. 
  • Complete production and workstation documentation as required. 
  • Maintain Lean initiatives and participate in lean projects. 
  • Retrieve required documentation out of TMS to assist with quality related decisions.  
  • Provide suggestions and take active role in Process Improvements to eliminate non-value added activity. 
  • Complete Assembly and auxiliary equipment (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance activities.  
  • Complete Injection Molding equipment and mold (TPM) Total Preventative Maintenance activities. 
  • Responsible for Kanban system associate with work cell to insure materials are properly staged. 
  • Perform Scale set-up and operation of scales. 
  • Complete cycle checklist. 
  • Complete LRPs, including opening and closing of lots, ensuring all paperwork is mistake free. 
  • Utilize SAP to manage LRP labels and documents. 
  • Perform line clearances as required.  
  • Provide support to Production Supervisor as needed. 
  • Perform LOTO (lock out/tag out) of any unsafe equipment.  
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Preferred/Required Education/Skills: 

  • High School Diploma, GED or Injection Molding Machine Experience required 
  • Basic math skills  
  • PC Skills 
  • Work Environment 
  • Works in a clean manufacturing and warehouse environment that may include moderate noise levels 
  • Able to frequently lift up to 35 lbs

PAY RANGE: $20.00 USD - $30.00 USD Hourly plus 10% Night Shift Differential (This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.)

SHIFT SCHEDULE: 12-Hour, Rotating Shifts (2-2-3 Rotating Schedule, requiring work every other weekend) from 6:00 PM to 6:15 AM

Qualifications

The APU Cell Leader is responsible for supporting cell team members in the startup, operation and TPM maintenance of molding and assembly equipment and the packaging of packaging of molded and/or assembled components per company and customer specifications.
