Job description

Job Description: CELL LEADER
Dept: Production
Report To: Shift Leader

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a task driven, intermediate-level production position within the Production Department. The basic function of the position is to give direction to Production associates to safely provide Adkev, Inc. customers a quality product on time; print and dispense labels; and assist Shift Leader with duties as assigned. The incumbent is required to attend to all assigned duties and responsibilities (tasks) and maintain accuracy standards of production in accordance with stated requirements and IATF standards.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Cell Leader directly reports to and is accountable to the Shift Leader. The
Cell Leader will have secondary reporting to the Production Manager. Production
Technicians directly report to and are accountable to the Cell Leader for job
assignments, skill and training assessment, safety, and productivity.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
? Schedule Production Techs effectively according to skill level
? Document production data (scrap, efficiency, downtime, etc.) on supplied report forms
? Perform routine visual quality checks (approximately every 2 hours) and while giving Production Techs breaks; report any findings per procedure and correct Production Tech?s performance, notify Shift Leader
? Participate in QCR resolution, corrective actions and containment of defects
? Ensure vacuum loaders and grinders of active machines are functioning and unused equipment is shut off
? Print and disperse labels at the beginning of and throughout the shift
? Verify product and material being used meets lot traceability standards
? Help to scan Denso racks as needed (Goodland Plant)
? Perform backup functions during Shift Leader?s absence from the floor
? Must be flexible, multi-task oriented and able to prioritize own tasks to complete workload in scheduled shift time
? Prioritize production requirements per Shift Leader direction, monitor for inefficiencies and provide feedback to Shift Leader for improvements (point out waste of labor, machine time and materials)
? Relieve production techs for breaks
? Setup workstations, communicate to Utility Tech and verify stock production/packaging supplies at workstations
? Pull End of Run product from press
? Pull partials
? Reset check stations (red lights); trouble shoot cause and verify defective product has not been packaged
? Perform process audits
? Meet intermediate training requirements, follow established safety practices and policies, monitor safety compliance of cell members, report and assist Shift Leader in immediate correction of violations
? Support and maintain 5S system throughout the plant
? Adhere to Adkev, Inc.?s No Fault Attendance policy (expectation is 4 or less absence points)
? Be able to work overtime or adjusted schedule (any shift), as required, with little or no advance notice
? Adhere to Adkev, Inc.?s policies, procedures and instructions
? Other duties as required

MEASUREMENTS OF PERFORMANCE
The Cell Leader will be considered as performing in a satisfactory manner when the following are accomplished:
? When the above responsibilities and duties are accomplished in a timely and effective manner
? The output of the position is accomplished on time in accordance of efficient scheduling
and sufficient resources
? Compliance with all safety and regulatory issues are met with no safety violations
? Maintain personal certifications to include professional certifications
? IATF16949 standards, processes or duties assigned are performed
? Will cross train and maintain certification in other duties as directed by Shift Leader or Production Manager
