Key Responsibilities (What You Are Doing)
  • Lead the creative direction and execution of video content across Cosmopolitan and Seventeen, ensuring alignment with brand voice and audience expectations
  • Oversee end-to-end production workflows-from concept development through distribution across YouTube, social platforms, OTT, and on-site
  • Pitch, develop, and launch innovative video franchises and series formats across multiple platforms
  • Collaborate closely with editorial, social, and marketing teams to translate storytelling into compelling, platform-native video content
  • Direct on-set productions, including working with high-profile and celebrity talent
  • Manage post-production processes, providing detailed feedback on edits, pacing, graphics, music, and overall storytelling
  • Guide and mentor a team of producers and associate producers, fostering creative excellence and collaboration
  • Oversee budgets and resource allocation in partnership with project management to maximize production value
Qualifications (What We're Looking For)
  • 7+ years of experience in creative video production, ideally within digital or media environments
  • Proven experience producing engaging, internet-forward video content with a strong sense of audience and platform trends
  • Deep knowledge of pop culture, celebrity talent, and emerging digital formats
  • Strong storytelling instincts with the ability to translate editorial concepts into compelling visual narratives
  • Experience developing original series, writing treatments, and producing pilots
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with experience managing creative teams
  • Experience working with branded content and cross-functional stakeholders is a plus
  • Hybrid role based in New York City with in-office presence 4 days per week

Compensation & EEO

The base salary for this role is between $101,000 and $122,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands.
