Description The City of Upper Arlington proudly operates three outdoor facilities and is committed to providing a safe and healthy experience to all visitors. The Pool O?ce Worker provides excellent customer service, greets customers, processes transactions for membership and admission and provides support for facility managers. Examples of Duties 1. Assists the pool manager and assistant pool managers with the operation of the swimming pool o?ce. ?.

Be professional alert, courteous, and tactful. ?. Strives to maintain positive interactions with the sta.

and pool patrons. ?. Processes memberships and replacement of lost membership cards.

?. Keep the o?ce area ?t for inspection at all times. ?.

Be aware of speci?c duties and responsibilities in the event of a major emergency. ?. Perform other duties as assigned or directed by the pool manager, assistant pool managers, Aquatics Manager, Recreation Superintendent or Parks and Recreation Director.

?. Responsible for tracking attendance, utilizing recreation software, checking in members, collecting guest and program fees and answering telephones. ?.

The responsibilities listed above do not constitute every duty that may be performed by a pool o?ce worker. While on duty a pool o?ce assistant may be expected to be asked to perform other duties and tasks which may or may not be directly related to the pool o?ce worker function. If such tasks are assigned, it is the responsibility of each pool o?ce worker to accomplish the assignment to the best of his/her ability.

Typical Qualifications High school graduate preferred. Previous office experience preferred. One [1] written recommendation for employment attesting to the applicant's ability to perform the duties; his/her dependability and character.

If possible a reference shall be obtained from a former employer. Supplemental Information SALARY, HOURS, AND WORKING CONDITIONS: The City of Upper Arlington will determine the hourly rate for pool office workers annually. Flexible scheduling.

Pool office workers are permitted to work up to 40 hours per week. Hours worked in excess of 40 hours will be paid at the normal rate of pay with no provisions for overtime pay. All pool office workers must complete an annual drug and background screening.

EVALUATION The pool office manager, pool manager and assistant managers will evaluate the performance of all pool office workers annually.
