Position Description
The SAP Developer at Applied Medical plays a key role in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance SAP solutions that support business operations and strategic initiatives. This position contributes to the development and enhancement of enterprise applications by leveraging SAP technologies, including ABAP, Fiori, and SAP S/4HANA. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the SAP Developer ensures that technical solutions align with user requirements and organizational goals. Candidates with experience in SAP application development, including ABAP programming, and SAP Fiori development, will find this role both impactful and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement SAP solutions using ABAP, Fiori, and SAP S/4HANA to meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
  • Develop and maintain SAP applications, including user exits, ALV reports, Web Dynpro, Interfaces, Workflows, BAPIs, BAdIs, Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, LSMW, dialog programming, OData services, CDS views, Fiori apps, and HANA objects.
  • Extend standard SAP Fiori applications and build custom applications.
  • Support ongoing system maintenance and enhancements across SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, PP, PLM, SD, LE, WM, QM, PM, and HCM.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot issues to ensure high-quality software delivery
  • Participate in architecture planning, technology research, and evaluation of alternative solutions
  • Contribute to project delivery by managing development tasks and providing technical guidance

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of three years of hands-on ABAP programming experience, including user exits, workflows, BAPIs, BAdIs, and dialog programming
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP S/4HANA and familiarity with multiple SAP modules
  • Strong proficiency in ABAP Objects and modern ABAP (version 7.4 or higher)
  • Experience developing and extending SAP Fiori applications using OData services and CDS views
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and Structured Query Language (SQL)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply technical concepts quickly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, and Scrum

Preferred
  • Knowledge of SAP technologies including ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), Fiori Elements, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
  • Experience working in a cGMP-validated environment
