Job description


Leading U.S. engineering consulting firm is seeking a Transportation Engineer for their Chicago office!



Responsibilities:

  • Involvement in design process/project advancement (setting priorities/developing objectives)
  • Use technical expertise to aid multi-discipline team
  • Prepare highway/roadway and sewer plans, specifications, and estimates
  • Responsible for project permitting
  • Prepare project reports
  • Mentor/train junior engineers


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 5+years of practical design experience (transportation engineering, highway design, and local street design)
  • IL PE License
  • Knowledge of IDOT, CDOT, municipal and IL Tollway design/standards
  • Good communication skills
  • Proficient in MicroStation/OpenRoads required.
  • Working knowledge of modeling with OpenRoads preferred
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil3D software preferred


Salary is commensurate with experience.
