CDM Smith is seeking an accomplished Senior Program Manager to lead complex programs, align multidisciplinary teams, and deliver successful outcomes for our clients.
This position is based in Louisiana, and candidates must be willing to relocate.
The Senior Program Manager provides strategic leadership and oversight throughout program delivery, managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. This role serves as a key leader in coordinating project managers, technical teams, clients, and external stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes.
The Senior Program Manager will also support business development and client pursuits, identify opportunities to enhance client value, mentor staff, and contribute to program management best practices across the firm.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex programs and multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage program scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk.
• Build and maintain trusted client relationships.
• Support business development, proposals, and client pursuits.
• Resolve complex challenges and drive effective decision-making.
• Mentor and develop staff.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in professional associations, conferences, and Communities of Practice.
• Perform other duties as required.

Skills & Abilities

• Expert knowledge of corporate governance practices, organization design principles, accounting principles, finance, supply chain management, and organization management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to understand highly complex technical, professional and business materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with extensive experience leading large-scale, multi-disciplinary engineering programs are strongly preferred.

An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.

Additional Pay Range Information
CDM Smith is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. This pay range is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels for the geographic location assigned to the position. In addition to geographic location, a candidate's salary is determined by several other factors including, but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, relevant work experience, skills, required certifications, and education/training.
Additional Compensation
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
