Job description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across various routes. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, including experience with different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. The Truck Driver will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.DutiesOperate and drive various types of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.Load and unload freight as needed, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.Plan and follow efficient delivery routes while maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel usage.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, road conditions, and any issues that may arise during transport.Maintain a clean driving record while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.QualificationsValid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in truck driving or delivery driver roles is required.Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is a must.Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, or other specialized vehicles is highly desirable.Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading freight is a plus.Strong attention to detail with excellent time management skills.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings.
