Job Summary

A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver is responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment to designated locations. Drivers ensure timely deliveries while complying with all federals, state, and company safety regulations. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently.  
  • Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.  
  • Transport freight to designated locations. 
  • Secure cargo to prevent damage during transport.  
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.  
  • Follow the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and traffic laws.  
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delivery schedules, and any delays.  
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues and ensure repairs are completed promptly.  
  • Load and unload cargo when required.  
  • Maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance. 

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).  
  • 3 Years of Experience  
  • Available to work 10-12 Hours per Days 
  • Available to work Sat and Sunday as Need 
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.  
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.  
  • Strong time management and communication skills.  
  • Ability to lift and move freight when required.  
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles preferred (requirements vary by employer).

Physical Requirements

  • Work outdoors in all types of weather, including rain, snow, heat, and cold.  
  • Spend extended periods sitting while operating commercial vehicles.  
  • May work long hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.  
  • Travel locally, regionally, or over long distances, with some positions requiring overnight or multi-day trips.  
  • Frequently enter and exit the truck cab and trailer.  
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull cargo or equipment as required, often up to 50 pounds or more.  
  • Exposure to traffic, road hazards, noise, vibration, diesel fumes, and changing road conditions.  
  • Follow strict safety procedures and comply with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.  
  • Meet delivery schedules while maintaining safe driving practices.  
  • Maintain constant awareness of surroundings to protect themselves, the public, and cargo.  
  • These working conditions require physical stamina, alertness, good judgment, and the ability to perform safely under varying road and environmental conditions.
