Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused CDL Driver to support underground utility construction and rehabilitation projects. This role is responsible for transporting equipment, materials, and machinery to and from job sites while assisting crews as needed. Candidates must be comfortable with overnight travel Sunday through Friday and working in outdoor construction environments.

What You'll Do

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport equipment, materials, and supplies to job sites
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues
  • Load, unload, and secure materials and equipment safely
  • Assist crews with general labor and construction support duties as needed
  • Maintain accurate DOT logs, mileage records, fuel usage, and delivery documentation
  • Follow all DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and company safety policies
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, dispatchers, and crew members
  • Ensure timely and safe deliveries to active project sites
  • Travel overnight throughout the workweek as required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License required
  • 3–5 years of commercial driving experience preferred
  • Experience hauling equipment, materials, or heavy machinery preferred
  • Construction or underground utility industry experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of DOT compliance and safety procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic vehicle maintenance needs
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills and dependable work ethic
  • Willingness to travel overnight Sunday–Friday
