Job description

Class A CDL Driver

Alter Metal Recycling is looking to add a Class A CDL Driver to its Anoka, MN facility. Onsite local driving only, home every night. Alter Trading Corporation, is a 125+ year old company, with 79 scrap metal processing facilities throughout the Midwest and Southern regions. CDL Drivers play a crucial role in our operation.

Operates a truck picking up metal within specified area.

Types of trucks (Roll-off truck, Lugger truck, tractor trailer)

Secure the Load based on type of truck or box.

Always follow company safety standards, including PPE and attend monthly safety meetings.

Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure motor vehicles are in safe operating condition.

Communicate with dispatcher concerning delays, unsafe routes, accidents, and equipment breakdowns.

Other responsibilities as assigned.
