They typically help load and unload cargo, navigate routes, and ensure that goods are handled safely. While they do not drive the commercial vehicle themselves, they play an important role in supporting the driver and ensuring timely and efficient deliveries. This position often requires physical strength, good communication skills, and a willingness to work flexible hours. The role requires good physical stamina, teamwork, and attention to detail, as you’ll work closely with the driver to ensure timely and safe deliveries. This position provides hands-on experience in the transportation industry and can be a stepping stone to obtaining your own CDL license and advancing to a driver role.

To thrive as a CDL Driver Helper, you need a solid understanding of safety procedures, physical stamina, and the ability to assist with loading and unloading cargo, typically requiring a high school diploma or equivalent.
