Job description

Position: Janitor
Location: Downtown Oklahoma City
Environment: Warehouse
Schedule: Multiple
Full-time & Part-time schedules available.
Shift: Specific shifts will be discussed during interview
Pay: $17.75 per hour

Dale Rogers Training Center (DRTC) is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodial Professional to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of federal buildings and facilities. This role is essential to daily operations and supports mission-critical environments across multiple government sites.
Ability One Position
This position is specifically set-aside to employ a person with a disability.
Documentation of a disability is required. A written report/letter signed by a licensed physician, psychiatrist, or qualified psychologist must be provided on letterhead with the address. The report/letter must provide the nature and extent of the person's disability, be dated and signed by the professional, and include his/her credentials.
Any disabling condition(s) may be considered as long as it meets all areas of qualification. Types of qualifying disabilities include:
Traumatic Brain Injury, Intellectual Disability, Autism, Learning Disability, Mental Illness, Epilepsy/Seizure Disorder, Hearing Impairment, Visual Impairment/Blindness, Physical Disability and Medical Conditions which also limit ability to maintain employment.
Responsibilities:
  • Clean Floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
  • Empty Trash and maintain waste receptacles
  • Service Restrooms including cleaning, sanitizing, and restocking
  • Clean and organize all custodial closets and storage areas
  • Follow all procedures for chemical use and power equipment
  • Monitor building security, lock doors, and follow exit protocols
  • Move furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with hand trucks
  • Report maintenance needs such as plumbing issues or broken fixtures
  • Perform snow removal using shovels, blowers, or plows (as applicable)
  • Request and track cleaning supplies and equipment
  • Clean and polish furniture, fixtures, windows, mirrors, and partitions
  • Dust walls, furniture, machines, and equipment
  • Dilute concentrated chemicals according to manufacturer specifications
  • Shampoo carpets and perform floor finish removal/application
  • Provide emergency services such as water extraction
  • Operate vehicles including vans, industrial trucks, or scrubbers
  • Participate in special events such as the Tinker Air Show or emergency response
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Experience in custodial services or completion of a certified custodial program preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Must maintain regular and punctual attendance

Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must pass all required background checks and meet badge requirements
  • Must meet AbilityOne eligibility requirements
  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. vertically and 25 lbs horizontally
  • Move items up to 100 feet
  • Perform bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Must adhere to all safety procedures
