PC Logistics, LLC. offers Dedicated, Temperature Controlled and Expedited trucking for the Food & Beverage, Consumer Packaged Goods, Retail, Industrial and Technology sectors. We also offer Warehousing, Fulfillment and Distribution in our Food Grade storage facility. We have operations in Oak Creek Wisconsin and Indiana. Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and team-oriented individual to join our operation as a Dispatcher/CDL Route Support team member. This role will primarily focus on coordinating daily dispatch operations, driver communication, routing, and customer service while also serving as a backup CDL driver to support operational coverage when needed. The ideal candidate will have both dispatching and driving experience and be comfortable stepping into CDL routes during driver call-offs, vacations, customer emergencies, weather events, or other operational disruptions. This position plays an important role in maintaining service reliability, supporting our drivers, and helping ensure operational continuity for our customers.
Responsibilities:
Dispatch Operations: Assist with coordination of the daily dispatch operations, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of trucks to maximize productivity and meet customer requirements. This may include use of load boards and working with brokers to improve equipment utilization, secure backhauls, and support profitability.
Driver Management: Assist with assigning drivers to specific routes, providing them with clear instructions, schedules, and necessary documentation.
Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication channels with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
Problem-solving: Identify and resolve operational challenges, such as route deviations, breakdowns, or delays, in a proactive and timely manner. Collaborate with drivers and other team members to develop effective solutions.
CDL Route Coverage Support: The position will assist with route coverage during driver absences, vacations, customer emergencies, weather events, and other operational challenges. Responsibilities may also include local deliveries, trailer moves, shuttle operations, and other transportation support activities as business needs require.

Requirements and Other:
  • Proven experience in truck dispatching and/or experience in logistics
  • MUST HAVE a valid Class A CDL with a safe driving record required
  • Current Fed Med Card
  • Ability to operate in both office and field environments
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on finding practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with drivers, customers, and team members.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications, including MS Office.
  • Sylectus trucking software experience preferred but not required.
  • Normal schedule will generally be M-F first shift, with flexibility as needed to support operational requirements.
  • Pay starting at $26 per hour depending on experience.
