Manion's Wholesale Building Supplies is a family owned wholesale distributor serving customers throughout the Upper Midwest. We are looking for safety focused, dependable CDL Class A Truck Drivers who take pride in providing exceptional customer service and delivering building materials accurately and on time.
Our drivers play a critical role in building strong relationships with our customers. Whether you're an experienced driver or just beginning your CDL career, we provide hands-on training for qualified candidates.
  • Monday - Friday schedule. (no weekend work)
  • Early morning start times, varying by route.
  • Local routes home daily.
  • Regional route require staying out overnight. (2 - 3 nights per week)
  • 34 hour restarts at home guaranteed.
  • Deliveries made during business hours. (7 AM – 5 PM)
Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a CDL Class A tractor trailer to deliver building materials throughout the Upper Midwest while complying with all DOT, state, and local regulations.
  • Complete pre trip and post trip inspections and report mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Properly secure loads using straps and other load securement equipment.
  • Assist with loading and unloading building materials as needed.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs, bills of lading, inspection reports, delivery receipts, and other required DOT documentation.
  • Follow dispatch instructions, plan efficient routes, and communicate delivery updates, delays, or issues with dispatch and customers.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, including monitoring fluids and identifying maintenance needs.
  • Take photographs of delivered loads using the BisTrack scanning system.
  • Provide outstanding customer service while representing Manion's professionally.
  • Comply with all company safety policies, OSHA standards, and DOT regulations.
  • Participate in federally required drug and alcohol testing programs.
Qualifications
  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license.
  • Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 20 years of age.
  • One year of commercial driving experience preferred, but not required, we provide hands-on training for qualified candidates.
  • Ability to pass a pre employment drug screen and background check.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to safety and professionalism.
Work Environment
Drivers work in a variety of outdoor environments and weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, and cold. This position involves driving, loading and unloading materials, and performing deliveries at customer locations while maintaining a strong commitment to safety.
