A CDL B Hazmat Driver is a professional truck driver who holds a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) endorsement. This qualification allows them to operate vehicles with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more, and to transport hazardous materials safely and in compliance with federal regulations. CDL B Hazmat Drivers often deliver fuel, chemicals, or other dangerous goods, and must follow strict safety protocols to protect themselves and the public.
