We specialize in modern, relationship-driven funding solutions and are scaling rapidly.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SBA Loan Specialist to own and manage the end-to-end SBA loan process, with a primary focus on SBA 7(a) and 504 loan programs. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, client-focused professional who understands SBA guidelines, thrives in a fast-paced fintech environment, and can confidently guide borrowers from initial qualification through funding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of SBA loan applications (7(a) and 504), from intake and pre-qualification through underwriting, approval, closing, and funding
  • Evaluate borrower eligibility, financial statements, credit profiles, cash flow, and collateral to determine SBA loan viability
  • Collect, review, and package complete loan files in compliance with SBA SOP guidelines
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for borrowers, lenders, internal sales teams, and external partners throughout the loan process
  • Coordinate with underwriters, CDCs, banks, attorneys, and title/escrow to ensure smooth and timely closings
  • Identify and resolve documentation gaps, credit issues, or structural challenges proactively
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across all loan files and documentation
  • Track pipeline activity, milestones, and funding timelines within CRM and internal systems
  • Stay current on SBA program updates, SOP changes, and lender requirements
  • Provide guidance and education to internal teams on SBA loan structures, timelines, and best practices

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience working with SBA loans (7(a) and/or 504 preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of SBA SOP guidelines, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Experience packaging SBA loan files for submission to banks or direct lenders
  • Ability to analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, and credit reports
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage borrower expectations
  • Comfortable working in a high-volume, performance-driven environment
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and loan processing software (Salesforce a plus)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience at a bank, CDC, or alternative lender
  • Background in commercial lending, underwriting support, or business financing
  • Experience working in fintech or fast-growth startup environments
  • Familiarity with SBA Express and SBA Preferred Lender Program (PLP)

What We Offer

  • Base salary plus performance-based incentives
  • Opportunity to work with a fast-growing fintech platform
  • High-impact role with visibility across sales, partnerships, and leadership
  • Collaborative, entrepreneurial team environment
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
