Description
Do you want to work for one of the Top 10 Country Clubs in the nation? How about one of the Top Workplaces in Richmond, VA? If so, then you've found the right place! The Country Club of Virginia is searching for hospitality-driven team members who want to continuously make a positive impact on the organization and the individuals around them.
Do you enjoy interacting with kids? We are seeking friendly, responsible, and energetic adults to staff our Play Center. You will assist in leading activities, monitoring interactions between the children, and communicating with parents about their children, ensuring a safe environment and quality experience for the whole family. Other opportunities for this position include working birthday parties and other youth events.
Essential Duties
  • Greet children and parents warmly and communicate with parents at Play Center drop-off and pick-up
  • Provide comfort, cleaning, and care as appropriate for infants, play games with children, and monitor the interactions between children
  • Manage children's behavior using developmentally appropriate interventions and strategies
  • Ensure cleanliness and safety of the Play Center
  • Exhibit proper phone etiquette and personal interactions to meet Club standards
  • Complete other tasks contributing to the success of the Youth and Aquatics Department

Schedule
Year-round, Part-time - Approximately 15-30 hours per week
Hours of Operation
Morning Shifts:
  • Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM-12:30 PM

Evening Shifts:
  • Tuesday & Wednesday: 3:15-5:45 PM

Weekend Hours:
  • Saturday-Sunday: 8:00 AM-1:00 PM, 3:15-5:45 PM

Additional Youth Events take place throughout the weekend Friday-Sunday.
Qualifications
  • A friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine desire to provide exceptional care and customer service
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety
  • Previous experience working with children required, preferably infants through elementary-school age
  • High school education preferred
