Job description

Brown Equipment Company | Evansville, IN
Do you enjoy figuring out how things work… and fixing them when they don’t?
Are you the person everyone calls when the electronics, wiring, or camera system stops cooperating?
If troubleshooting, repairing, and bringing equipment back to life sounds like your kind of challenge, we’d love to talk with you.
Brown Equipment Company is looking for a CCTV Technician to help keep the specialized camera systems used by municipalities and utility companies running at peak performance. These systems are mounted in highly specialized trucks used to inspect underground infrastructure — and when something isn’t working right, our team steps in to diagnose, repair, and get our customers back up and running.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem solving, and working with advanced equipment.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you’ll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and repairing camera systems used in our inspection trucks.
• Inspect and diagnose camera systems using manufacturer guidelines
• Repair or replace electronic components to restore system performance
• Test and validate equipment after repairs
• Assist with installing and integrating camera systems into trucks
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and Equipment Consultants
• Maintain parts inventory and order replacement components as needed
• Keep accurate service records and documentation
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure equipment issues are resolved quickly and effectively
What Makes You a Great Fit
You enjoy solving technical problems and working with electronics, wiring, and camera technology.
Strong candidates will have:
• Solid understanding of electronic circuits, wiring, and camera systems
• Experience using diagnostic tools, soldering, and repair techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
• Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload
Experience amp; Background
• High school diploma required
• 3+ years of experience working with electronics or camera equipment
• Experience with municipal or utility vehicles is a plus
• Knowledge of camera system hardware/software integration preferred
• Familiarity with sewer or pipeline inspection equipment is helpful
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) is a plus
