Job description

Security Guard

This is an internal security position that will require you to be the first line of defense for our customers and employees for any emergency situation that could arise. You will also greet each customer, verify ID at Reception and then direct customers within and outside the NOXX/Cookies facility (as assigned). You will monitor CCTV cameras, patrol the facility, check locks, report suspicious activities, de-escalate situations, monitor deliveries, and oversee the overall safety and protection of the facility. You will be the acting security and safety professional on site, working alongside facility staff as a team. Prior security, military, and or law enforcement experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:

The Security Guard role reports to the Store Manager and performs the following activities:

  • Use de-escalation techniques to diffuse difficult customer interactions
  • Check ID of customers to ensure they are 21+
  • Be aware of, follow, and promote an environment and culture of compliance
  • Monitor Security cameras
  • Patrol the Premises
  • Check locks, report suspicious activity, interact with law enforcement, oversee general safety of the facility
  • Coordinate with local authorities as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

The Security Guard role requires the following qualifications except where indicated:

  • Two years of security, military, and or law enforcement experience (highly preferred)
  • Must be over the age of 21
  • Must pass a criminal background check
  • Must be personable and able to de-escalate situations quickly
  • Must be able to obtain private security guard certifications as necessary
