Job description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Independently perform service, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and maintenance of security systems including intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems.

  • Diagnose system issues and complete corrective actions in a timely and professional manner.

  • Test and verify proper system functionality and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and customer requirements.

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on security and low-voltage systems.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, system layouts, and technical manuals.

  • Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete service work efficiently and safely.

  • Complete service documentation, inspection reports, and work orders accurately and on time.

  • Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and supervisors regarding job progress and system status.

  • Follow all company safety procedures and customer site requirements

  • Travel to job sites as required.

  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, if driving role.

  • Strong working knowledge of intrusion alarms, access control, CCTV, and low-voltage systems.

  • Ability to work independently and complete standard service jobs without direct supervision.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and system drawings.

  • Shape


Other Duties:

  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

  • Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.

  • Use of hand tools and testing equipment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
