Department OverviewThe Command Center Solutions Services (CCSS) team is dedicated to delivering exceptional field support, customer success, and security services for Software customers. The team focuses on supporting the deployment operations team converting backlog for post-sale projects into revenue for Computer-Aided-Dispatch (CAD) solutions and Emergency Call Handing (ECH) solutions while driving gross margin through disciplined cost management. CCSS operates in a very fast paced and complex environment that requires the ability to multi-task effectively to support all the required business needs while supporting a team of financial analysts reporting to this position.
The NA Command Center Solutions Services Deployment Finance team is responsible for the financial oversight of the CCSS deployment organization, and providing strategic insights through forecasting, long-range planning, and financial analysis. By partnering closely with CCSS business leaders, the team ensures well-informed decision-making and a clear understanding of financial implications across the organization.
Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager with exceptional analytical skills and strong communication abilities to support the CCSS team, in addition to managing a team of financial analysts supporting the day-to-day needs of the deployment business. This role will play a crucial part in forecasting, revenue recognition, cost estimates, process improvement, and strategic ad-hoc initiatives, helping drive operational efficiencies and financial accuracy. This role will closely collaborate with the CCSS's business operating partners as the deployment business shifts to a recurring subscription business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CCSS's operation partners to maintain current revenue and cost forecasts while providing leadership with actionable financial insights

  • Prepare and present weekly financial reviews for executive leadership in partnership with business leaders

  • Identify financial risks and opportunities within forecasts and collaborate with business teams to drive strategic decision-making

  • Partner with key subject matter experts to drive process automation and operational efficiency projects to enhance financial operations

  • Provide ad-hoc strategic analysis and cross-functional financial support as needed to the wider services finance team

  • Partner with product P&L finance teams to ensure alignment on revenue and cost forecasts, along with driving process improvements.

  • Lead a team of financial analysts to ensure alignment with business partners and drive accurate and timely financial reporting

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in a corporate finance role, knowledge of working in a larger company preferred

  • Prior managerial experience required

  • In-depth knowledge of software/subscription as a service (SaaS) revenue models

  • Prior experience with Percentage-of-Completion (POC) accounting a plus

  • Exposure to Oracle, Smartview, Tableau, Netsuite, and/or Hyperion a plus, but not required

  • Advanced Excel modeling skills, familiarity with building complex financial models and manipulating large datasets to help the company make strategic recommendations

  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with a formidable attention to detail

  • Healthy curiosity to understand all aspects of the business

  • Ability to work collaboratively to drive cross-functional execution on business goals

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves, be additive when and where you can, and support team tasks to help out the company when necessary

Target Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $190,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
