Job description

Senior Network Engineer - Telecommunications

Middleton, FL, US

Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True", this position is responsible for participating as a member of the Network Engineering Team with the primary focus of the position being to implement and support enterprise networking solutions. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Full-Time, Onsite Position

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Unified Communications architectures across on-premises and cloud communication environments.
  • Assist leading migrations from Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) to Webex Cloud Calling.
  • Architect and deploy Webex Contact Center solutions including call flows, IVRs, routing strategies and integrations.
  • Develop high-availability and disaster recovery strategies for Unified Communications platforms.
  • Configure and manage Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, IM & Presence, Webex Calling & Webex Contact Center.
  • Build and troubleshoot dial plans, route patters, route lists/groups, sip trunks, PSTN connectivity, call routing and translation patterns.
  • Administer, configure, and maintain Cisco Webex Calling environments, including user provisioning, dial plan management, device deployment, and ongoing performance and issue resolutions.
  • Provide advanced escalation support for voice and contact center issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis for call failures, quality issues, and outages.
  • Monitor system health, capacity, and quality call metrics (MOS, jitter, latency).
  • Implement and support Webex Contact Center including call routing logic, scripting, agent profiles, queues, and reporting.
  • Lead or support migrations from On-prem Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) to Webex Calling ensuring minimal downtime and seamless cutovers.
  • Implement secure voice architectures ensuring compliance with enterprise and regulatory requirements.
  • Configure and support 911 configurations, recording, and call accounting.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Associate Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two (2) year college or technical school; or five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks.
  • Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • CCNP R&S, CCNP Collaboration, CCNP Wireless Certification, or Cisco Webex Contact Center Expert (CWCCE) preferred.
  • This position is subjected to The Villages Vehicle Safety Program and its policies as it requires the use of personal vehicles for company business.
  • A Valid Driver's License with a record acceptable to company standards is required for this position.
