Job Title: Senior Network Engineer CCNP
Location: Bolling AFB, DC
Type: Contract
Compensation: $180,000.00

Responsibilities
  • Translate stakeholder and Government requirements into network solutions, modifications, and support upgrades (network reconfiguration, hardware and software acquisitions, installation, and testing).
  • Provide executive-level government agency support related to designing, deploying, and ensuring efficient and optimal operation of business-critical enterprise and network environments.
  • Apply current and emerging network software, hardware technology, and protocols to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.
  • Collaborate with clients to explore, investigate, analyze, and assess new technologies to modernize and improve existing networking solutions.
  • Support current and future requirements within enterprise and tactical networks through all facets of network engineering expertise.
  • Provide Tier 3 and Tier 4 engineering support including hardware management, architecture, design, and configuration.
  • Design and develop voice, video, RF, and data communication networks, including planning, evaluation, and upgrading operating systems and protocols.
  • Configure systems and network topologies based on user environment needs, analyzing traffic and capacity requirements.
  • Assist in the acquisition of hardware, software, and subcontractor services as needed.
  • Guide and lead less-experienced network personnel; serve as technical team or task leader.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technology trends and innovations.
  • Develop IT checklists, SOPs, guides, and related documentation proactively.
  • Communicate effectively through excellent verbal and written skills; demonstrate initiative and independence within established guidelines.

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of IT experience, including network infrastructure and security, LAN & WAN environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Arista, Aruba, or Palo Alto network devices such as wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers.
  • Ability to implement, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain network infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network protocols.
  • Skill in quickly learning new technologies and products via documentation and internet resources.
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI, or the ability to obtain SCI clearance.
  • Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Routing & Switching - Now Enterprise (Required)
  • Security + (Preferred)
