Job Description

This position is a full-time opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer working within our Service Provider Practice. The NE is responsible for positioning, architecting and delivering service solutions around Cisco's Service Provider technologies including CRS-X, ASR9000, IOS, IOS-XR, JNPR, ALU, IP NGN, Metro Ethernet, and IPo DWDM.  Travel up to 40% may be required.

JOB DUTIES:

 

  • Delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Design, implementation, assessment and support of complex networks.
  • Provide engineering assistance in the Service Provider Wireless Carrier space (specializing in Cisco and Non Cisco equipment)
  • Serve as the SME within Services and Technical aspects of Service Provider networks (SP Architectures, IP/MPLS, LTE/IMS, IPv6, IP NGN, Cloud etc.).
  • During implementation, the NE works closely with the Project Manager to coordinate the staging and deployment of equipment, ensures project checkpoints are met, and performs validation testing.
  • Developing the Scope of Work (SOW) and Bill of Material (BOM) for all projects, ensuring the equipment and configuration specified will meet customer requirements.
  • Obtaining and Maintaining Certifications and Accreditations consistent with job responsibilities.
  • Contributing to team and company culture, knowledge, and morale.
Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Must have extensive knowledge of and minimum 5 years' experience with the following:

    • Routing protocols (including but not limited to OSPF/BGP)
    • MPLS Networks (MPLS-TE, RSVP, LDP, L3VPN, L2VPN/Pseudo wires, CESoPSN etc.)
    • Switching (including but not limited to STP, VLAN Trunking (802.1q), LACP, QinQ)
    • Cisco products like the CRS-X, ASR9000 and 7600's
    • Juniper MX-Series and EX-Series


EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences
  • CCNP /CCDP/ or CCIE
  • 5+ years
