Job description

Role- Network Architect (Enterprise, Cloud & SD-WAN)
Location - Dallas/ Remote
We are seeking a highly experienced Network Architect with deep expertise in Switching, Routing, Cloud Networking, and SD-WAN to architect, design, and implement complex enterprise-scale networks.
This role requires a hands-on architect who can lead from the front-designing robust solutions while also stepping in during critical incidents to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical depth, proven experience in large and complex network environments, and excellent communication skills to engage with customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design

  • Architect, design, and review enterprise-scale network solutions across:
    • LAN / WAN / Data Center networks
    • Cloud networking (AWS / Azure / GCP - VPC/VNET, Transit, VPN, Direct Connect/ExpressRoute)
    • SD-WAN solutions (Cisco Viptela, Aruba Silver Peak, Fortinet, Versa, etc.)
  • Develop high-level and low-level network designs, architecture diagrams, standards, and design documentation.
  • Define scalable, resilient, secure, and high-availability architectures for complex customer environments.
  • Drive network transformation initiatives, migrations, and modernization programs.
Implementation & Hands-On Support
  • Lead and actively participate in implementation and deployment of network solutions.
  • Be hands-on during critical outages or escalations, troubleshooting complex routing, switching, SD-WAN, or cloud connectivity issues.
  • Perform deep-dive analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for high-severity incidents.
  • Support change management, upgrades, and network optimizations.
Routing, Switching & SD-WAN
  • Expert-level experience with Routing & Switching (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VLANs, STP, VXLAN).
  • Architect and support SD-WAN solutions, including:
    • Design of hubs, branches, policies, QoS, segmentation
    • Integration with firewalls, security stacks, and cloud
  • Optimize performance, resiliency, and failover mechanisms.
Cloud Networking
  • Design and implement cloud and hybrid network architectures.
  • Integrate on-prem data centers with public cloud using secure connectivity.
  • Collaborate with security teams to align networking with cloud security and compliance standards.
Stakeholder & Communication
  • Act as a technical advisor to customers, leadership, and delivery teams.
  • Clearly explain complex technical designs and issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, workshops, and customer discussions.
  • Mentor engineers and provide architectural guidance to delivery teams.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise networking roles.
  • 5+ years in a Network Architect / Lead Network Engineer role.
  • Proven experience working in large, complex, multi-site enterprise networks.
  • Strong background in design, implementation, and operational support.
Technical Skills
  • Expert knowledge of:
    • Routing & Switching (Cisco/Arista/Juniper)
    • SD-WAN architectures and platforms
    • Enterprise LAN, WAN, and Data Center networking
  • Strong Cloud Networking expertise (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Experience integrating networking with firewalls and security controls.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Soft Skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset.
  • Ability to stay calm and decisive during high-pressure critical incidents.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certifications such as:
    • CCNP / CCIE (Routing & Switching, Enterprise, or SD-WAN)
    • Cloud certifications (AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer)
  • Experience in managed services or large customer environments.
  • Exposure to network automation and scripting is a plus.
