  • Collate completed tax returns and supporting documents for client delivery and signature, and maintain organized electronic tax files.

What Will Help You Be Successful

  • CPA or EA designation or progress toward obtaining a CPA license is preferred.
  • 4-8 years of tax preparation experience, preferably in public accounting, private client tax, or wealth management tax services.
  • Strong experience preparing complex federal and state individual income tax returns for high-net-worth clients, including multi-state filings.
  • Experience preparing partnership income tax returns, preferably for family investment partnerships or investment entities.
  • Experience with gift tax and private foundation returns is a plus.
  • Experience with CCH Axcess Tax, CCH Scan and BNA Income Tax Planner preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills, with careful attention to detail.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate tax compliance matters professionally with clients and internal partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments independently and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to work additional hours, including some weekends, during peak filing periods, generally late February through mid-April and September through mid-October.
