About the Role:
As a CBRE Receptionist within our Workplace Experience function, you will serve as the first point of contact for our department. This crucial, 100% onsite role is based in New York City and is single-site, supporting a corporate office building/shared office environment across 2 of 7 floors consistently. You will provide world-class customer service to clients, applicants, and visitors, directly contributing to a positive experience for everyone entering our designated building. This highly client-facing position involves significant interaction with external guests in a private lobby and on the client floor, requiring a professional and proactive individual with a strong customer-centric approach. You will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks that ensure a welcoming and efficient environment.
What You'll Do:
  • Warmly greet clients, applicants, and visitors upon arrival, ensuring a professional and welcoming first impression.
  • Manage a private lobby and host on the client floor, interacting with a high volume of external guests.
  • Receive and efficiently direct incoming calls to appropriate personnel or voicemail.
  • Issue visitor passes and parking validations, diligently following established security protocols.
  • Schedule and meticulously prepare meeting and conference rooms, including room setup, coordinating catering orders with vendors, and securing necessary technological equipment.
  • Lead morning and afternoon meetings for scheduling purposes.
  • Escort external guests to meeting rooms and perform room resets after meetings.
  • Register external guests into the booking system.
  • Coordinate with building and housekeeping services for maintenance or cleaning needs.
  • Perform general clerical duties such as distributing office faxes and packages.
  • Manage office supply inventory and ordering.
  • Track and manage incoming and outgoing packages, mail, and freight, arranging messenger services as required.
  • Arrange hospitality services for guests, which may include transportation, tickets, and reservations.
  • Utilize existing procedures to resolve straightforward problems, exercising limited discretion.
  • Deliver output by adhering to defined procedures and processes under close supervision.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Receptionist position is $60,000 annually [or $28.85 per hour] and the maximum salary for the Receptionist position is $63,000 annually [or $30.29 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program.
