Job description

About the Role:
As a CBRE Security Sr. Manager, you will oversee the team responsible for the security operations for a large or high profile property. This job is part of the Security and Fire job function. They are responsible for the physical security and fire safety of the organization or other tangible assets.
What You'll Do:
  • Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
  • Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.
  • Oversee all building operations involving visitor access and activities.
  • Develop and implement high-level security policies, protocols, and procedures. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Act as the point of contact for ongoing communication with Building Services staff about site operations. Collaborate with department Sr. managers to determine security needs.
  • Investigate, report, and maintain records of security-related incidents on the property. Coordinate responses to emergencies and alarms.
  • Prepare surveillance equipment maintenance schedules and facility repairs in a timely manner.
  • Protect the organization and clients from damage and loss. This includes developing and implementing life safety systems, CPR, and first aid training.
  • Consult with human resources on issues related to security personnel.
  • Create and approve budgets for security operations and monitor expenses. Review security intelligence and quickly implement multifaceted preventative measures. Keep abreast of innovative technologies and advancements in security services.
  • Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
  • Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.
  • Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems.
  • Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.
  • Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
