Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance comfort and independence
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to foster social engagement and reduce feelings of isolation
  • Medication reminders according to care plans and document all care provided with attention to detail
  • Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
  • Support clients with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments or errands
  • Follow established care protocols while maintaining a safe environment for clients at all times

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, must be able to Read, Write, and Speak English, and have clear and strong communication skills
  • Must pass a criminal background check (Federal, State/CBI, Local, DMV, CAPS, DORA, OIG)
  • Must pass a drug panel including active marijuana use
  • Must be willing to comply with state required seasonal flu vaccinations
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to provide transportation for client in personal vehicle
  • Ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and assisting clients with mobility needs safely
  • Must be able to stoop or bend repeatedly, carry bundles, and assist clients with transfers and general mobility/stability.
  • Prior experience working as an In Home Caregiver or in related settings such as geriatrics, post-acute care, or outpatient clinics is highly preferred
  • Experience with dementia clients and their unique needs is highly preferred
