Job description

Join a team that keeps critical facilities running

WECTEC Staffing Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is hiring a Property Operations & Grounds Specialist to support our Bridgman, MI site. You’ll report to the Facilities Supervisor and ensure our buildings and landscapes are safe, functional, and ready for the work of clean energy.

What you will do
  • Grounds care: mow with hand/power/riding equipment; trim and edge around walks, beds, and walls; plant and prune grass, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Seasonal response: remove snow and ice from roads, steps, and walkways; rake leaves; clean up litter.
  • Equipment upkeep: perform minor maintenance and repairs on groundskeeping tools and machinery.
  • Building upkeep: complete light painting, plumbing, and maintenance (including small framing/drywall work; repair toilets and urinals).
  • Facilities support: move office furniture and supplies to reconfigure work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned (this summary is not all-inclusive).
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 18+ years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License required; CDL preferred but not required.
  • Maintenance, snow plowing, and lawn care experience preferred.
  • Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work day or night shifts during winter months.
  • Local to our client's site in Bridgman, MI.
  • Physical capability to frequently walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; communicate clearly; handle and reach with hands/arms; lift or move up to 75 lbs; and maintain close, peripheral, and depth vision.

Pay and benefits
  • Base compensation estimated at $18/hour to $19/hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
