Job description

What if you could...
...take the helm of a high-growth DTC engine and redefine how customers accesses cannabis wellness? We are seeking a Head of Digital Growth to join our team-someone ready to own the P&L, smash growth targets, and navigate the complex regulatory "pivot" of 2026 with grit and precision. If you are a hungry innovator who thrives on data and has the "operator" mindset to scale our Papa & Barkley brand into a digital powerhouse, this is for you.
What You'll Do
  • Own the Shopify Plus Ecosystem: Lead the storefront end-to-end-driving CRO, catalog, promotions, and subscriptions, while supporting B2B wholesale operations.
  • Fuel the Growth Engine: Direct paid media agencies (Meta, Google, Microsoft) to lower CAC and improve funnel efficiency; you direct the strategy, you don't outsource the thinking.
  • Master the Lifecycle: Drive high-velocity performance via Klaviyo (Email/SMS) and lead subscription growth through Skio, treating our subscriber base as our most valuable asset.
  • Navigate the Regulatory Pivot: Own the 2026 compliance assessment and product strategy response; you bring clarity to ambiguity and make the call without waiting to be told.
  • Scale the Future: Build demand forecasts with supply chain, launch new channels (referral, affiliate, activations), and build your team as growth warrants.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven P&L Ownership: You have founded a brand or owned a DTC P&L with full accountability-you can read a creative brief and a contribution margin report in the same hour.
  • Deep Platform Expertise: Expert-level Shopify knowledge and attribution mastery; you know how to build a brand when major platforms are restrictive.
  • Strategic Agility: A bias for action in fast-paced environments where you must exercise judgment in the absence of perfect information.
  • Regulated Category Experience: Meaningful experience in age-gated categories (CBD, hemp, alcohol) is a major advantage.
  • Leadership through Clarity: Experience managing lean teams and agencies by setting high standards and clear expectations, not just volume of direction
The Numbers That Matter
  • Growth: DTC Monthly Revenue vs. Target and Email List Growth.
  • Profitability: Gross Margin % and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).
  • Loyalty: Subscription Retention Rate and Referral Growth.
