Job description
Overview: As Night Watchman, you will provide security to the feedlot and assist in loading and/or unloading cattle shipments. Monitor cleanup time on feed bunks.
Essential functions
- Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
- Periodically drive the feedlot to ensure yard is secure.
- Communicate with Cattle Manager on all arrivals.
- Document everyone entering the feedlot.
- Unload cattle trucks, check headcounts and condition, weigh, and complete required paper work to ensure correctness and report to Cattle Manager.
- Oversee loading of fat cattle and verify headcounts.
- Write up watch reports regarding unusual events or problems that may arise.
- Read and record cleanup of feed bunks at 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM.
- Maintain general housekeeping.
- Comply with all OSHA/Safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Adequate verbal and written communication skills.
- Adequate mathematical skills: Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide number.
- Knowledge of cattle feedlot industry highly desirable.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours as required
- This individual must have the ability to work with a team, or individually.
- Ability to communicate in English is preferred, not required.
- Ability to prioritize tasks when appropriate.

- You will be required to work at times in extreme weather conditions, such as rain, snow, wind, heat, cold.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holiday.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work extended late night hours 10-11 hours per shift.
