The Caregiver is responsible for providing daily living skills training, providing supervision and necessary supports to adults with developmental disabilities, and assisting with the integration and participation in community activities with our clients.

Starting pay is $17.40 per hour; commensurate with experience.

Principal Accountabilities

Client Services:

  • Assist the Adult Day Center participants with personal cares and activities of daily living as outlined in individualized care plan.
  • Provide daily assistance with the implementation of proper use of body mechanics with participant's mobility, transfer, and safety needs.
  • Monitor and report changes in participant's condition and behavior to appropriate staff and formal supports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure a person-centered approach by considering each participant's abilities, preferences, and needs.
  • Establish a supportive relationship with each participant and their supports.
  • Participate in team meetings addressing participant's progress with individualized goals and outcomes.
  • Participate in on-going training and professional development as outlined in Department of Health Services annual continuing education standards and Catholic Charities Adult Day Center program manual.
  • Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner according to all Catholic Charities Adult Day Center standards.
