Located in Port Jefferson, the St. Charles Campus of Good Samaritan University Hospital combines advanced clinical expertise with a longstanding commitment to compassionate care. The campus has earned both a Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade "A" and a CMS 5-Star Quality Rating and is known for its excellence in Maternal/Child Services, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Bariatric Surgery, and Emergency Care.
A leader in acute inpatient rehabilitation on Long Island, St. Charles Campus provides specialized care for patients recovering from conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic injuries. As part of Catholic Health, the campus is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care that improves outcomes and strengthens the communities it serves.
Job Details
The Safety and Security Officer ensures the safety of all staff, visitors and patients in the Hospital.
Responsibilities:
  • Patrols the Hospital and grounds
  • Monitors visitors, lighting and illegal parking
  • Reviews conditions of the parking fields, curbing and sidewalks.
  • Enforces all security regulations and is part of the Hospital Emergency Management Response Team.
  • Writes incident reports as required and performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Qualified candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Security Officer License in NYS.
  • Previous experience in Law Enforcement preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License is required.

Posted Salary Range
USD $25.00 - USD $29.00 /Hr.
This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
