Job description

Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services Manager 2 for UNC REX Healthcare located in Raleigh, NC that will oversee a team of 25-30 on 2nd Shift (2:30pm start time) with some oversight of 3rd shift as needed (5pm). This role has a second shift rotating weekend with some holiday coverage. UNC REX is a 500-bed, 1 million square foot healthcare facility that operates within the UNC Health system. This facility is the second largest unit within the system. The Environmental Services Department oversees 150+ team members across 3 shifts. This role will support all aspects of custodial services including outpatient and Cath Lab cleaning and floorcare, along with payroll, hiring, and scheduling among other duties. The ability to be bilingual in Spanish would assist in managing this workforce.
The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and a high level of energy and accountability. Preferred candidates will have experience in Environmental Services, Hotels housekeeping and/or Custodial Services, military service, and excellent customer service skills. Sodexo is seeking a true self-starter who can lead a team under minimal supervision. Our Sodexo Health Care Environmental Services/Housekeeping teams work to direct housekeeping operations at health care client locations, partnering with them to deliver innovative solutions.
What You'll Do
  • have strong customer service and leadership skills;
  • be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores;
  • provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors and staff and works closely with the Infectious Control department;
  • work with the Environment of Care Committee and Infection Prevention Director;
  • effectively manages the Unit Operating System; and/or
  • support an inclusive workforce.

  • have experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines;

  • have 3-5 years previous custodial / housekeeping or similar management experience., in a hospital, healthcare experience preferred but not required;
