Welder I is responsible for performing welding operations according to work instructions, process prints and routers.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate robotic and manual MIG weld machines, utilizing various tools provided in the work area to perform welding tasks
  • Inspect own work for quality, using weld and attribute gauges and other measuring tools
  • Repair defective welds in-station using the carbon air arc process, grinders, and other tools
  • Clear common faults in robotic welding systems
  • Perform mechanical tasks, including using lifting devices to move components over 35 lbs. and positioning heavy fabricated metal parts in weld fixtures
  • Conduct routine maintenance, such as wire changes and tip/nozzle replacements
  • Follow documented procedures, standard work instructions, routings, and blueprints to ensure safe and defect-free operations
  • Conduct process and final inspections to ensure quality standards are met

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive operations
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate these skillsets:
  • Blueprint reading experience
  • Ability to work as part of a team and undergo cross-training
  • Ability to be a contributing team member
  • Effective communications skills

* Hiring for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift. All training will be on 1st shift for up to 2 months before moving to hired shift.
