About the Role:
  • Perform assembly and disassembly of various engines and their assemblies, accessory units , and driven equipment.
  • Build complete engines and driven equipment prior to and after testing.
  • Perform overhaul of engines, packages, and assemblies. Perform balancing of rotating parts and assemblies.

What You Will Do:
  • Assemble, tear down, reassemble, and rework complete engines, assemblies, subassemblies, accessory units, and driven equipment.
  • Utilizing a working knowledge of turbomachinery products and working from operational paper, blueprints, written and/or oral instructions, or photographs.
  • Disassemble and rebuild any Solar or customer turbomachinery product.
  • Balance a variety of parts , assemblies, and subassemblies to Solar standards.
  • Change accessible filters and lubricate own machine tools as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Previous related mechanic experience
  • Previous experience working with engines
  • Ability to read blue prints
  • Must be willing to work any shift

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with turbomachinery equipment
